Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to Chronet.gg, our forums, community systems, and Chronet-operated game services. By using the service, you agree to these Terms and to the rules that apply to the area you are using.

Last updated: August 23, 2026

1. Scope

“Chronet”, “Chronet.gg”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the operators of the Chronet community. “Services” includes the Chronet.gg website, forums, account features, moderation and support systems, and game servers operated by us. “User Content” means material a user submits, including posts, replies, images, profile content, reports, appeals, applications, and similar submissions.

Paid digital packages and other purchases are also subject to our Terms of Sale.

2. Accounts and Steam authentication

Chronet uses Steam authentication. Your Chronet account may be associated with your Steam account and SteamID64. We do not ask for or receive your Steam password.

You are responsible for maintaining control of the Steam account and device used to access Chronet. You may not access another person's account without permission, impersonate another user or staff member, misrepresent your identity to gain privileges, or use alternate accounts to evade restrictions.

You must satisfy any age or eligibility requirements imposed by applicable law and by the third-party platforms you use.

3. Community and server rules

Our published community and server rules, feature-specific instructions, staff procedures, and reasonable moderation requirements are part of the conditions for using Chronet. Different areas of the service may have different rules.

Rules cannot list every possible abusive or disruptive scenario. Conduct that reasonably threatens community safety, fair play, service integrity, or the ability of others to use Chronet may still result in moderation even if the exact behavior is not described word-for-word in a posted rule.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of User Content that you lawfully own. By submitting User Content to Chronet, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, moderate, edit where reasonably necessary, archive, and distribute that content for the purposes of operating, securing, administering, and promoting the Chronet community.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit the content and that it does not unlawfully infringe another person's intellectual property, privacy, confidentiality, or other legal rights.

We may move, edit, hide, lock, preserve, archive, or remove User Content for moderation, safety, legal, technical, or organizational reasons. Account closure does not guarantee immediate removal of quoted material, backups, cached copies, moderation records, or content that must reasonably be retained.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Chronet to:

  • violate applicable law, facilitate fraud, or infringe another person's rights;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, stalk, or deliberately endanger another person;
  • distribute malware, credential-stealing material, malicious code, or intentionally harmful files;
  • obtain unauthorized access, probe or exploit systems without permission, or conduct denial-of-service activity;
  • spam, scrape, automate, or overload the service in a way that disrupts normal operation or bypasses reasonable limits;
  • evade bans, suspensions, rate limits, account restrictions, or other enforcement controls;
  • impersonate staff or falsely claim an affiliation, endorsement, or authority;
  • use cheats, exploits, prohibited automation, or similar tools on Chronet-operated servers;
  • use Chronet to publish another person's sensitive private information without lawful authority.

6. Moderation and access

Chronet is a privately operated community. Authorized staff may investigate conduct, issue warnings, remove or restrict content, suspend account features, or ban access to some or all Services when they reasonably believe rules or these Terms have been violated, or when action is needed to protect security, service integrity, or community safety.

Where an appeal or review process is offered, it is governed by the eligibility requirements and procedures then in effect. We may retain moderation and punishment records after access is restricted to support appeals, prevent ban evasion, preserve staff accountability, and protect the community.

Purchasing a package, holding a rank, or contributing to the community does not exempt a user from the rules or guarantee continued access.

7. Virtual items and game data

Characters, inventories, balances, ranks, permissions, cosmetics, points, currencies, supporter benefits, and other game or community data are digital service features. Unless expressly stated otherwise, they have no guaranteed cash value and do not represent banked funds or ownership of property outside Chronet.

We may correct, rebalance, reset, remove, replace, or modify virtual data when reasonably necessary because of updates, exploits, economy balance, technical failures, rule enforcement, server migrations, or service changes. Paid benefits are additionally governed by the Terms of Sale.

8. Intellectual property

Except for User Content and clearly identified third-party material, the Chronet name, original site design, graphics, code, documentation, and other original materials made available by us are owned by or licensed to Chronet and are protected by applicable law.

You may use the Services for normal personal community participation. You may not copy, resell, repackage, falsely brand, or commercially exploit protected Chronet material without permission unless applicable law expressly allows it.

Steam, Valve, Garry's Mod, Discord, YouTube, and other third-party names, trademarks, games, and assets remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on Chronet does not imply sponsorship or endorsement.

9. Third-party services and links

Chronet may link to, embed, or rely on third-party services such as Steam, Discord, YouTube, hosting providers, payment providers, and game-related services. Those services are controlled by their respective operators and may have separate terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for third-party availability, content, security, purchases, account actions, or policies merely because a link or integration appears on Chronet.

10. Availability and service changes

Chronet is an evolving online community. We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, migrate systems, rebalance gameplay, reset servers, add or remove features, experience outages, or discontinue parts of the service. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, permanent preservation of game data, or compatibility with every device, browser, mod, or third-party platform.

11. Security

You must not knowingly introduce malicious software, interfere with authentication or service security, obtain unauthorized access, probe systems without permission, or assist others in doing so. Serious security abuse may result in immediate termination of access and may be reported to service providers or lawful authorities when appropriate.

12. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis without warranties that they will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose. User Content reflects the views of its author and does not necessarily reflect Chronet's views.

We make reasonable efforts to operate the community responsibly, but cannot guarantee the accuracy of User Content or information supplied by third parties.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chronet and its operators, administrators, staff, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, virtual items, game progress, data, or opportunities arising from use of or inability to use the Services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

14. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in the Chronet.gg Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms where applicable.

15. Purchases

If Chronet offers paid digital benefits, supporter packages, memberships, virtual items, or other paid content, those transactions are also governed by our Terms of Sale. If there is a conflict specifically concerning a purchase, the Terms of Sale control for that transaction to the extent permitted by law.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms when our Services, rules, security needs, or legal obligations change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes may also be announced through the website or another appropriate official Chronet channel.

If you do not agree to a revision, you should stop using the affected Services. Continued use after revised Terms become effective means the revised Terms apply to later use to the extent permitted by law.

17. General terms

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the fullest extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.

These Terms are interpreted under laws that lawfully apply to the operator of Chronet and to you as a user. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer or other legal protections that cannot be waived. Before beginning a formal claim, we encourage users to contact Support and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be submitted through the Chronet.gg Support page or another official Chronet support channel.
